Go Global Inter Kids gives each child the opportunity
to speak thoroughly!

Go Global Inter Kids boasts a high success rate in producing graduates that go onto renowned international schools each year. The academic skills and English language proficiency of our students is very high. After entering primary school, our graduates continue to enjoy a fulfilling school life at the same or even higher level than their foreign/English speaking classmates.

Unfortunately, despite spending a lot of time and effort attending international kindergartens in Tokyo between the ages of 2 and 6, the reality is many students' speaking levels are behind where they should be.

Why is this?

The reason is very simple, many students attending international kindergartens are not given many opportunities to speak, this being due to too large of class sizes. In large classes students are typically split into two groups, the speakers and listeners. The speakers are those who are confident and volunteer to speak when given the chance. The listeners are often the opposite.

At Go Global, thanks to our smaller class sizes every child is given the opportunity to speak, and without the added pressure of speaking in front of a large number of peers, those who would typically choose to be a listener can feel comfortable enough to speak up.

Our small class sizes also allow us to notice and address the following:

  1. Is each student learning well? Can they understand? What areas might they be struggling with?
  2. Is everyone getting a fair chance to speak? When speaking, are they using correct grammar?
  3. Is each student meeting the basic goals and requirements necessary to move onto primary school? These skills are not just limited to English and speaking, this includes mathematics, communication skills, social skills, creativity, good attitudes towards learning as well as a willingness to learn.
  4. What are each child's strengths and weaknesses? How can we support them to become well balanced students?
